Nigeria: 50 dead in Boko Haram attack

About 50 people are reported dead in the eastern Nigerian state of Adamawa after a bomber struck inside a mosque packed with worshipers during morning prayers.
Witnesses say  it appeared the bomber was part of the congregation. No-one has claimed responsibility for the bombing but the Islamist militants Boko Haram typically target crowded places in northern Nigeria.
Boko Haram’s eight year insurgency has resulted in about 20,000 deaths. Boko Haram militants have recently increased suicide bombings in Nigeria’s north-east after losing territories to government forces.
Two female bombers blew themselves up last December in a busy market killing at least 45 people in the same Adamawa state.
