TARKWA CIRCUIT COURT REMANDS 3 SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS INTO PRISON CUSTODY

The Tarkwa circuit court, presided over by His Lordship Emmanuel Bart-Plange Brew has remanded three suspected armed robbers into prison custody to reappear in court on 21st November, 2017.
The suspected armed robbers who were in military uniform during their criminal activities were arrested by the Wassa Akropong Police command on Friday 28th October, 2017 at Wassa Asikuma, a town near Wassa Akropong in the Wassa Amenfi East District of the Western Region.
Beachfmonline.com gathers that the three suspects, Evans Amoako, 20, Kwabena  Anim, 30, and Yakubu Rashid 25, attacked a group of taxi drivers, bound them with ropes and took an amount equivalent to GHc 2,000 from them.
Some of the victims in an interview with beachfmonline.com stated that the attacks had been persistent for more than two months.
“Our lives have been in danger since the attacks started two months ago, if the authorities had not intervened, only God knows what would have happened”, one victim lamented.
The court, during a sitting on 2nd November, 2017 (Thursday) was prayed by the state prosecutor to adjourn the case for a thorough study of the docket to enable an efficient proceeding.
His Lordship Emmanuel Bart-Plange Brew therefore ordered that the three suspects be remanded in prison custody until the case returns for hearing on 21st November, 2017.
