National Prez Of Co-operative Transport Union Urges Drivers To Be Cautious To Avoid Road Accidents

National President of the Co-operative Transport Union, Mr Edward Hoffmann has advised commercial drivers and other motorists in the country to be very vigilant on the road and always observe road traffic regulations in order to ensure safety on the roads.

Mr Edward Hoffmann gave the advice at the sod-cutting ceremony by the Hope Co-operative Transport Union Kimbu Accra for the construction of 168 houses on a 26-acre land acquired by the union at Mango Farm near Kofi Kwei in the Ga South Municipality , for members of the Union.

Mr Edward Hoffman also advised Commercial drivers to take the education of their children seriously and invest for their future .

Mr Justice Kwabena Larbi President of Hope Co-operative Transport Union Kimbu – Accra said housing (accommodation) is a major problem to many people including the drivers hence the decision by the Union to undertake the project.

He appealed to members of the Union to work hard towards the successful completion of the project.

The Registrar of Co-operative Societies Mr Charles Yaw Offe advised Commercial drivers as well as other motorists to avoid alcoholism as it is very dangerous to their profession and health .

He called for unity and hard work amongst the Co-operative Transport Union to make them breakthrough in their endeavors.

Mr Charles Yaw Offe also urged the commercial drivers to always wear their nose masks and observe other safety protocols of COVID19 to ensure their safety against the disease .
